MongoDB now powered by PostgreSQL! Any good for Mongo?

mongoDB+PostgreSQL-smallThis long blog post uncovers that MongoDB has just introduced in its 3.2 version a new Business Intelligence connector which is… PostgreSQL! Together with the story of a startup working on BI and NoSQL without recognition from Mongo DB product management, this arises doubts on the opportunity for Mongo tu embed a competitor as system component: yes, thanks to its flexible data model, PostgreSQL is getting more and more use as storage tool for documents/JSON data!

What do you think? Is it good for Mongo to use Postgres, or wouldn’t it be a wiser choice to present alternatives in order to create the ecosystem of tools that are needed to turn Mongo into an enterprise data management platform?
